
Working Equitation competitions consist of four Trials
- Classical Dressage Trial
- Ease of Handling Trial
- Speed Trial
- Cow Trial

A typical Working Equitation competition in the United States will have the Dressage, Ease of Handling (EOH) and Speed Trials. The Cow Trial is not always available at a competition.
In the United States, Working Equitation offers seven levels of competition

- Introductory
- Novice A
- Novice B
- Intermediate A
- Intermediate B
- Advanced
- Masters
Masters Level in the United States is equivalent to the international standard of the sport.
